Marley Smith is an Associate Attorney at Devaney Pate Morris and Cameron, LLP, where she plays an integral role in both litigation and advisory work by offering a fresh perspective and strong commitment to her clients’ success. Her practice is focused on Municipal and Public Entity law with an emphasis in School District Litigation and Municipal Advising.
Ms. Smith brings a deep passion for public service, a robust academic background, and invaluable hands-on experience to DPMC. She graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Political Science with a focus on legal studies, international relations, and accounting. This multidisciplinary foundation laid the groundwork for her career in law. While working towards her undergraduate degree, Ms. Smith directed the Community Legal Information Center, worked as a paralegal, and interned as a law clerk. She sharpened her analytical abilities at a think tank in Washington, D.C., specializing in defense and energy policy.
Ms. Smith received her J.D. from California Western School of Law and is barred in the state of California. Her versatile background has provided the skills to navigate complex legal and policy issues with ease. Ms. Smith looks forward to supporting with legal research, mediation, trial preparation, and collaborating with clients to achieve the desired results.
Outside of her professional life, Ms. Smith is an avid runner and golfer. But more than anything, she enjoys spending time with her rescue dog and cat.
